Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your first name and email address. When you purchase an issue, Stripe collects your payment details and provides us with purchase information such as your email address, transaction identifiers, payment status, and refund or dispute status. We do not receive or store your full card number.

When you sign in, we use your email address, authentication records, and necessary cookies to confirm your identity and provide access to the issue you purchased. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message.

How we use information

We use information to process purchases, deliver and protect paid content, send purchase and sign-in messages, manage the waitlist, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain our records, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the site: Stripe for payments; Supabase for authentication, access records, and protected files; Resend for email delivery and contact management; Google for a waitlist record backup; and Vercel for website hosting. These providers process information for us under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, business, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and security

The site uses necessary authentication cookies so you can remain signed in and access purchased content. We use reasonable safeguards, including time-limited links for protected media, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Retention and your choices

We keep purchase and access records as long as needed to provide your issue, handle refunds and disputes, meet accounting or legal duties, and protect the service. Waitlist information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, subject to records we must retain.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or unsubscribe from marketing email, by contacting hello@thepatternissue.com. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, or transaction-record purposes.

Children, international processing, and changes

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above shows the latest version.
